Under the Hood: How Automo's AI Engine Works

A deep dive into the unified AI architecture that powers every Automo module — from lead scoring to inventory forecasting to creative generation.

The Architecture Behind AI-Native Business Software

When we say Automo is "AI-native," we don't mean we added a chatbot. We mean the entire platform is built around an AI engine that understands your business holistically.

The Unified Data Graph

At Automo's core is what we call the Business Knowledge Graph — a connected data model that links every entity in your organization:

  • People → customers, leads, team members, vendors
  • Actions → emails, calls, tickets, purchases, campaigns
  • Objects → products, invoices, projects, documents
  • Events → page views, support interactions, deal stage changes

Every module writes to and reads from this graph. When a customer opens a support ticket, the AI already knows their purchase history, their last marketing interaction, their deal value, and their sentiment trend.

Three AI Layers

Layer 1: Predictive Intelligence

Running continuously in the background:

  • Lead scoring based on behavioral patterns across all touchpoints
  • Churn prediction using support, usage, and engagement signals
  • Inventory forecasting using sales velocity, seasonality, and supplier lead times
  • Revenue forecasting with pipeline-weighted projections

Layer 2: Generative Assistance

On-demand AI capabilities:

  • Draft emails, proposals, and support replies in your brand voice
  • Generate marketing copy, social posts, and ad creative
  • Create design assets using natural language prompts
  • Build reports and dashboards from conversational queries

Layer 3: Agentic Automation

Autonomous workflows:

  • Auto-route support tickets by category, sentiment, and customer value
  • Trigger retention campaigns when churn risk exceeds threshold
  • Reorder inventory when stock hits AI-calculated reorder points
  • Escalate deals when buying signals are detected

Privacy and Control

We believe in transparent AI:

  • You own your data — we never train on customer data
  • AI Memory Control — Enterprise customers can configure exactly what the AI remembers
  • Explainable decisions — every AI action includes reasoning you can audit
  • Local LLM option — deploy models on your own infrastructure for maximum privacy

Credits, Not Subscriptions

AI usage is measured in credits, not locked behind premium tiers. Every plan includes credits, and you can purchase more as needed. This means a free-plan user can access the same AI capabilities as an enterprise customer — just at different volume.
