Customers moving over from the legacy platform are no longer at risk of being billed by both platforms at the same time. The transfer now refuses to report a legacy subscription as cancelled unless it has actually checked every billing system that subscription might be running on — including one whose payment is currently failing, which would start charging again if the card recovered. When it cannot check, the transfer pauses and is flagged for a person to look at instead of quietly continuing.
