Migrate from Figma to Automo

This page does not connect to Figma. Create a free Automo account or sign in, and the Figma import opens in Create. There you add a read-only Figma token, pick a file and choose the frames to bring across.

What moves across

  • Frames you select from a Figma file, each imported as a page in a new Automo design
  • Shapes, vectors, text and images inside those frames, as editable layers
  • Files your Figma token can read, found by pasting a file link or browsing a team's projects

What does not

  • A whole Figma team, project or library in one step. You import one file and pick its frames
  • Prototype links, comments, version history and Dev Mode
  • Live links to published libraries and variables, plus Figma seats and billing

Export from Figma

  1. Create a free Automo account, or sign in, from this page
  2. After sign-up, the Figma import opens in Create
  3. Paste a Figma personal access token with read-only scopes. This page never asks for it
  4. Paste a file link or browse a team's projects, select frames, then import them as a new design

Questions about moving from Figma

Does this page ask for my Figma token?

No. Nothing about Figma is entered on this page. After you sign in, the Figma import asks for a personal access token with read-only scopes and keeps it with your Automo account.

Can I move a whole Figma team or library at once?

No. You import one file at a time and choose the frames to bring across. Each frame becomes a page in a new design. Repeat for other files.

What happens to components, prototypes and comments?

Layers in the frames you pick come across as editable elements. Prototype links, comments, version history and live links to a published library do not.

Is it free to start?

Creating the account is free. Each Figma import creates a new design, so it counts toward the project limit on your plan.
