Migrate from Mailchimp to Automo
This page does not log into Mailchimp for you. Export your audience as a CSV in Mailchimp and drop it here; after sign-up it opens in the CRM importer. Journeys do not move.
What moves across
- Audience members from the CSV you export in Mailchimp, as Automo contacts
- Email addresses, names and the other columns you map during the import
What does not
- Customer journeys, automations and Customer Journey Builder
- Mailchimp email templates as Automo campaigns
- Mailchimp billing, sending domains and audience settings you do not import
How to move from Mailchimp
- In Mailchimp, open Audience, then All contacts, and export the audience as a CSV
- Create a free Automo account from this page
- After sign-up, go to Contacts > Import and upload the CSV
- Check the column mapping and import
Questions about moving from Mailchimp
Does this page log into Mailchimp?
No. Today you export your audience as a CSV in Mailchimp, create an Automo account and import the file under Contacts > Import.
Do journeys move?
No. Customer journeys and automations stay in Mailchimp. Audience members come across as contacts through the CSV import.
Can I still send from Mailchimp?
Yes. Exporting a CSV does not change your Mailchimp account, so you can keep sending from it while you move.
Is the list copied before I sign up?
No. Nothing is written on Automo's servers until you have an account and import your CSV.
