Migrate from QuickBooks to Automo
Drop a trial balance CSV exported from QuickBooks. Automo reads accounts and balances on your device. After sign-up the file opens in Finance. To sync the live company, connect your QuickBooks account after sign-up.
What moves across
- A trial balance CSV you export from QuickBooks: account names, codes, and debit and credit balances

What does the connector sync?
The chart of accounts, customers and suppliers (up to 1,000 of each), and up to 100 invoices and 100 bills. Bank accounts, bank transactions, payroll and inventory stay in QuickBooks.
Is the CSV uploaded?
Not before you create an account. Accounts and balances are read in your browser.
Where does the file land after sign-up?
In Finance as an opening balances import. If Finance is not one of the apps on your workspace, you will be asked to turn it on.
Can I connect QuickBooks on the free plan?
No. Creating the account is free, but connecting QuickBooks needs a paid plan. On the free plan, bring your trial balance CSV instead.
