Migrate from Xero to Automo

What moves across

• A trial balance CSV you export from Xero: account names, codes, and debit and credit balances
• The account list the preview shows before you create an account
• After sign-up, a Xero connection can sync chart of accounts, contacts, invoices, bills, bank accounts and bank transactions
• Opening balances posted from that CSV in Finance

What does not

• A Xero login on this page. You connect your account after sign-up
• Payroll, inventory, fixed assets and Xero projects
• Any file that is not a trial balance CSV

Export from Xero

1. In Xero open Reports, then Trial Balance, then export as CSV
2. Drop that CSV on this page. It is read on your device. Nothing is uploaded yet
3. Create a free Automo account. The file opens in Finance as an opening balances import
4. To sync the live organisation, connect your Xero account after sign-up
