Migrate from Zoho Desk to Automo
Export the Tickets module from Zoho Desk as a CSV and drop it here. Automo reads it on your device. After sign-up the file opens in the support importer so you can check the columns and import.
What moves across
- Ticket rows from a Zoho Desk Tickets export: Subject, Description, Status and Priority
- Contact Name and Email, as the customer on each ticket
- Channel, kept as the source of each ticket
- The row count and recognized columns shown before you create an account
What does not
- Email threads, comments and attachments. Zoho Desk keeps those in Data Backup, not in a CSV export
- SLAs, blueprints, workflow rules, custom fields and the knowledge base
- Ticket owners, departments, and created or closed dates
Export from Zoho Desk
- In Zoho Desk pick the department, then open Setup, Data Administration, Export, and choose New Export with the Tickets module
- Leave Encrypt with Password off, run the export, and download the CSV from the export history
- Drop that CSV here. Automo reads it in this browser
- Create a free Automo account. The file opens in the support importer so you can check the columns and import
Questions about moving from Zoho Desk
Which Zoho Desk columns are recognized?
Ticket Id, Subject, Description, Status, Priority, Contact Name, Email and Channel are matched automatically. Every ticket needs a Subject. You can point other columns at an Automo field by hand in the importer.
What happens to a status like Escalated?
Open, On Hold and Closed carry across. A status the importer does not know, such as Escalated or a custom status, gets the default status you pick in the importer. Priority works the same way.
Do conversations and attachments come across?
No. A Zoho Desk export is a CSV of ticket fields. Threads, comments and attachments are only in Zoho Desk Data Backup, and this page does not read that.
How large can the file be?
Zoho Desk exports up to 50,000 records at a time. The Automo importer takes files up to 10 MB, so split a large export by date range and import each file.
