The colours you choose when setting up your workspace are turned into a real "Brand colours" palette in your Brand Hub and linked to your default brand kit, so the kit, the Brand Hub colour library and the brand home page all show the same swatches, and editors offer them when you design. Workspaces created before this fix pick the palette up the next time an admin opens their brand kits.
