When you load the demo restaurant, the EPOS dashboard shows a banner saying you're looking at sample data with a one-click "Remove sample data" button, and the same option lives in EPOS Settings > Advanced. The load dialog now lists exactly what gets added and confirms it can be removed later. Demo customers are never emailed by storefront promotions, and only people who can manage Retail can seed or remove demo data.
