When the design critic found a problem with a new design, such as a clipped headline or tiny details, its fixes were sometimes thrown away together if one of them could break the layout. The design then came back unchanged while the critic's note claimed it had been fixed. Now the safe fixes are applied, the page is reviewed again after each fix, and if a fix cannot be applied the result says why.
