Docs now tell you when a save really failed
If you are online and the server turns a save down, the header shows "Save failed — retry" and one click tries again.

If you are online and the server turns a save down, the header shows "Save failed — retry" and one click tries again. Before, it said "Saved locally — will sync when reconnected", which made it look like nothing was wrong. Going offline still shows the saved-locally message.
