The "Unposted balances" panel on the Finance dashboard used to check your fixed assets, bank accounts, finance inbox and payroll, but skipped inventory and work in progress entirely, which meant a warehouse full of stock could be missing from your balance sheet with nothing on screen saying so. It now checks those too, and the same posted/not-posted marker appears on the inventory valuation and manufacturing screens where you read the totals. Your item list also names the currency its costs and prices are in, and shows each item's reorder point so it is clear why one item is flagged as low on stock and another is not.
