When your approval rules decide nobody actually needs to sign off, the document goes out in the same click instead of quietly staying in drafts while showing a sent confirmation. You only see "Sent" after the email is actually accepted, "waiting for approval" only when approvers were really asked, and if a send cannot be confirmed you get a clear message pointing you to the saved draft in Proposals so nothing is lost.
