The design canvas now zooms in far enough to see individual pixels — with a pixel grid that fades in as you go, lines up exactly with your page, and keeps page edges, selection outlines and marquee boxes razor-thin instead of ballooning into the view. Selection outlines hug your shapes exactly, clicking empty space on a small artboard deselects the way you'd expect, the text cursor stays a cursor no matter how far in you go, and dropping a new image, chart or text block onto a small artboard puts it neatly on the page rather than somewhere off in the void. Over in spreadsheets, frozen columns now stay reassuringly solid when you scroll sideways past tall rows of wrapped text.
