You can insert or delete a block of cells and choose which way the rest shifts, set row height and column width straight from a cell, sort the selected range, filter by the value in the cell you clicked, turn a filter on or off, define a named range, and add a comment without opening the Format submenu first. Formulas keep pointing at the right values, including ones on other tabs, and a shift that would tear a merged cell or a table in half is refused with an explanation.
