Every AI request briefly checks your workspace's credits before it runs, and that check was taking over two seconds on its own. It now takes a fraction of a second, so AI replies start sooner. Ops: one edge function changed; no migration. Ships with the normal Ciao deploy to the web shards (mobile shards on their next deploy). Cost: none added. It makes one small read per new server instance instead of one very large one.
