Exporting a PDF now honours the image quality you pick, even on large designs, and produces much smaller files. Previously, on big canvases like banners and posters, photos could be saved at a much lower resolution than the quality setting showed — and on some devices every quality option looked unavailable while the export quietly used a lower one. Photos are also no longer needlessly converted to a heavier image format when they already match the chosen quality, so PDFs with photographs are dramatically smaller and faster to share.
