a tap passes the neighbouring element, then crosses into the box above or below and walks its elements, and climbs out to the level above once a box is spent, so repeated taps carry an element from anywhere to the top of the page and back, instead of jumping over whole boxes or stalling at container edges. Taps also no longer stall on the invisible text nodes the email parser keeps between rows.
