a New event button sits in the calendar header, every day header has its own plus button, and clicking or right-clicking any empty spot in the all-day bar or the day grid adds an event exactly there. When your sign-in lapses in the background, the recovery screen now offers to sign you back in to the same page instead of showing a Retry button that could never work, and Retry itself now genuinely retries with a spinner while it runs.
