Until now only leave approved from the approvals inbox was sent to Xero Payroll — leave approved on the HR Leave screen, or recorded pre-approved for someone, was never pushed and nothing said so, which is how requests quietly went missing from payroll and got re-entered by hand under the wrong leave type. Approval now pushes to Xero from the leave record itself, whichever screen approved it, and HR > Leave has a new Payroll sync tab showing what was pushed and when, the reason for anything that did not land, a retry on each row, and a one-click catch-up for everything still outstanding. You also choose there which Xero leave type each of your leave types is booked against, so unpaid leave can never arrive in Xero as annual leave.
